XI BCR 2026

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the XI BRAZILIAN CONFERENCE ON RHEOLOGY (BCR 2026), to be held in Vitória, ES, from March 15th to 19th, 2026, at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). This event is supported by the Brazilian Society of Rheology (a member of the International Committee of Rheology) and organized by the Postgraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering at UFES.

The conference aims to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge among Brazilian researchers in the field, strengthen Brazil’s international scientific presence, enhance the collaboration between academia and industry, and promote the field of Rheology within Brazil.

At the XI BRAZILIAN CONFERENCE ON RHEOLOGY 2026, a variety of topics will be addressed, including Rheology in industry, polymer blends and composites, biomaterials, and active drag reduction, among others. The event will feature lectures and technical sessions conducted in English, offering an excellent opportunity for Brazilian researchers to engage with distinguished national and international experts and discuss recent scientific and technological advances.

In addition to the conference, we invite you to explore Vitória, one of Brazil’s most scenic coastal cities. The capital of the state of Espírito Santo, Vitória was founded by the Portuguese in 1551. The city is situated on a river-marine island, surrounded by the Bay of Vitória and 34 other islands, with a portion of the municipality located on the mainland. Vitória boasts the 5th highest Human Development Index (HDI) among all Brazilian municipalities and was ranked by the UN as the second-best city to live in Brazil in 2015. In a 2017 survey, it ranked as the third-best Brazilian capital. The city enjoys a tropical climate, with an average temperature of 27°C in March.

Abstract Submission proceedings and information

The deadline for abstract submission is November 01, 2025 for the oral and poster presentation. Any individual should only be designated as a speaker for at most one oral presentation. Acceptance will be on November 15, 2025. Those who have their abstracts accepted will be able to submit a complete paper (limited to 4 pages A4) by January 01, 2026. Full paper acceptance will be on February 15, 2026. The technical committee will select the three best papers, whose main authors will be exempt from the registration fee and will receive a certificate of best work. During the poster section, the technical committee will select the best poster, and its authors will receive a certificate.

Instructions for oral technical sessions

Both the abstract and the oral presentation are required to be in English. The allocated time for each presentation is 20 minutes, with the initial 15 minutes designated for uninterrupted oral exposition and an additional 5 minutes for questions and interactions with the audience. To ensure the smooth progression of the conference schedule, the chair of the session will strictly adhere to the allotted presentation time.

For your convenience, an LCD projector and computer are provided in the presentation room. Prior to the commencement of the session in which your work is scheduled, please ensure that you upload your presentation onto the computer.

Instructions for poster technical sessions

The poster should be prepared in English and adhere to the dimensions of 0.90 m (width) x 1.20 m (height). Please ensure that your poster follows the template provided below.

Best Poster Award 2026
