Rheology position at Lubrizol Corporation
Lubrizol is seeking an energetic polymer rheologist to join our Measurement Science group. In this role, you will utilize your rheology expertise to solve industrial problems and address product performance requirements in a wide range of applications (e.g. extrusion, injection molding, fiber spinning, and 3D printing). The work will primarily involve thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) but will also support other polymer chemistries. You will support both long-term problem-solving projects and urgent manufacturing and quality issues. The position will require a deep theoretical and experimental understanding of polymer viscoelasticity, as well as the structure and dynamics of polymer melts, solutions, and microgel suspensions.

Postdoctoral and PhD positions on Complex Materials and Rheology at Ghent University
Applications are invited for postdoctoral and PhD positions in complex materials and rheology to work with prof. Flavio Marchesini in the Department of Materials, Textiles and Chemical Engineering at Ghent University. The research work can be more experimental, theoretical or computational, and the main goal can be adjusted according to the interest of the applicants. Possible research topics are (i) the development of a constitutive model to describe the rheological behavior of time-evolving materials, (ii) the understanding of the relation between microstructure and macroscopic rheological properties of a class of complex materials, and (iii) 3D printing of soft materials. Collaboration with other groups within and outside Belgium are possible. All suitable candidates are encouraged to apply.
