Are you interested in sharing your research findings with the community? The Society of Rheology is announcing “Future of Rheology”, a monthly virtual seminar series highlighting exciting research performed by the students and postdoctoral researchers working in the field of rheology.
Beginning in January of 2023, each month (except in December and October), we will hold two 20-minute virtual talks + 5 minutes of Q&A. At the end of each session, the audience will be asked to fill out a feedback form. The top 6 presenters throughout the year will be selected as finalists to be recognized at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the Society of Rheology in October.
If you are a graduate student or a postdoctoral associate, and a current member of the society of rheology, consider submitting an abstract and self-nominate for the very first edition of this seminar series. Nominations submitted by research advisors and other researchers are also welcome. The speakers will be selected based on the submitted abstracts and by the organizing committee. For each year, there will be two rounds of abstract solicitations. If not selected in each round, an individual can resubmit an entry in the next cycle(s).
For [self-]nominations, you can send a single pdf/word file including the title, list of authors, and the abstract for the seminar to both [email protected] and [email protected] by January 15, 2022. In your nomination email, please include your Society of Rheology member ID as well as your preferred month for the seminar.
